Wild Animal Park Festival of Lights

Saturday we went to the Wild Animal Park Festival of Lights. The kids had a lot of fun. There was a snow hill to sled down, a snow area to play in for the little kids, hot chocolate, toasted marshmallows, and lots and lots of beautiful lights.

Update

My Mom just called and said my Dad made it through the surgery just fine. He had a quadruple bypass but is doing great. I am so relieved that everything worked out fine. I wish I could have been there for support but I know my parents have such great friends and family that she would be just fine.

Preschool Christmas Program

Marcus had his school program this morning. The kids were so cute but they all got a little bit of stage fright in front of all the parents. They pretty much just stood there dressed up in their gingerbread costumes and a couple waved and said "HI MOMMY!" After their song we headed back to his classroom and the kids sang 3 songs and did a dance too. We had a great time seeing all the kids and eating all the really good food afterwards. Tonight is Geno's Batallion Christmas party so I will post pictures of that later.

Needing Prayers

For all of you that check our blog I am asking for prayers for my Dad. He went to the Cardiologist last Friday for a stress test. They found a blockage during the test and scheduled him for a procedure to remove the blockage last Tuesday. After going in for that they quickly decided that he needs open heart sugery including a quadruple bypass. He will be having his surgery done on Monday. Although the sucess rate is really good we all still worry. So, if you are reading this I just ask that you please pray for a successful surgery and fast recovery.

Gingerbread House

We made gingerbread houses today! The kids had a lot of fun decorating them. We made a big one and a little one. After letting them set up for like 3 hours we decorated the little house. We will decorate the big one tomorrow and I will add the photos when we get it done. They also decorated little gingerbread men.

Finally!

We finally converted Sophia's crib into a big girl day bed for her. We will probably switch it to a full size bed pretty soon but until we get all the parts we will keep it like this. Now, we have to get her to sleep in it! That's the real challenge.

Sophia's Christmas Party Cont.

Last week in class Sophia made a place mat to put at the table at the party. It is a reindeer made out of her hands and feet with a picture of her with reindeer antlers on. And the other pictures are of her all dressed up!

Sophia's Christmas Party

Sophia and I go to a Mommy and Me preschool program through the Armed Services YMCA twice a week. This year Toyota and Lexus Carlsbad sponsored her class and threw them an awesome Christmas party. Geno was able to get off work and come. Sophia got her face painted and got to meet Santa and get a gift from him. She was so excited to open her present. She got a new dress up dress, some hip sunglasses, super cute high heels and a feathery diva purse! I took her picture once we got home of her in all her stuff.

More Legoland Pictures

Legoland (again)!

We have a yearly membership to Legoland and the kids love it so much!! They have the park decorated for Christmas right now and the kids loved it! We went last weekend and spent the whole day. I think I was more tired when we got home than they were.

Christmas Decorations

We love decorating for Christmas each year and we try to do it on either Thanksgiving or the day after. Here is a couple of pictures of this years decorations.

Special Moment

I was cleaning my upstairs the other day and walked into my room to find Marcus reading to Sophia in our bed. They were so cute I had to run get my camera.

Camping in the backyard!

Ok, so I'm sure as many of you know I am not very adventurous. I have always wanted to go camping but don't really like the idea of staying in a tent out in the wilderness so we decided to camp in our yard. We set up our tent and camped out the night before Thanksgiving. We made a "campfire" in our old charcoal grill and roasted marshmallows and made smores. We also had hotdogs in our tent and told ghost stories with flashlights. It did rain a little but we still had a really great time.
