Update
My Mom just called and said my Dad made it through the surgery just fine. He had a quadruple bypass but is doing great. I am so relieved that everything worked out fine. I wish I could have been there for support but I know my parents have such great friends and family that she would be just fine.

Preschool Christmas Program
Marcus had his school program this morning. The kids were so cute but they all got a little bit of stage fright in front of all the parents. They pretty much just stood there dressed up in their gingerbread costumes and a couple waved and said "HI MOMMY!" After their song we headed back to his classroom and the kids sang 3 songs and did a dance too. We had a great time seeing all the kids and eating all the really good food afterwards. Tonight is Geno's Batallion Christmas party so I will post pictures of that later.

Needing Prayers
For all of you that check our blog I am asking for prayers for my Dad. He went to the Cardiologist last Friday for a stress test. They found a blockage during the test and scheduled him for a procedure to remove the blockage last Tuesday. After going in for that they quickly decided that he needs open heart sugery including a quadruple bypass. He will be having his surgery done on Monday. Although the sucess rate is really good we all still worry. So, if you are reading this I just ask that you please pray for a successful surgery and fast recovery.

Gingerbread House
We made gingerbread houses today! The kids had a lot of fun decorating them. We made a big one and a little one. After letting them set up for like 3 hours we decorated the little house. We will decorate the big one tomorrow and I will add the photos when we get it done. They also decorated little gingerbread men.

Sophia's Christmas Party
Sophia and I go to a Mommy and Me preschool program through the Armed Services YMCA twice a week. This year Toyota and Lexus Carlsbad sponsored her class and threw them an awesome Christmas party. Geno was able to get off work and come. Sophia got her face painted and got to meet Santa and get a gift from him. She was so excited to open her present. She got a new dress up dress, some hip sunglasses, super cute high heels and a feathery diva purse! I took her picture once we got home of her in all her stuff.
Special Moment
Camping in the backyard!
Ok, so I'm sure as many of you know I am not very adventurous. I have always wanted to go camping but don't really like the idea of staying in a tent out in the wilderness so we decided to camp in our yard. We set up our tent and camped out the night before Thanksgiving. We made a "campfire" in our old charcoal grill and roasted marshmallows and made smores. We also had hotdogs in our tent and told ghost stories with flashlights. It did rain a little but we still had a really great time.

Feeding the Seagulls
After going to the Dia De los Muertos we decided to head over and get some lunch. We went through the drive through because it is way too hard going into eat with our two little ones. We decided to just sit in the car and eat and while we were eating we noticed some seagulls. We opened our moon roof and put a french fry on it and closed it. The seagulls instantly flew down on top of our car and started fighting over the french fry. The kids laughed so hard and thought it was just the funniest thing ever.
Dia De los Muertos
Each year Oceanside celebrates the Day of the Dead. A Latin tradition where the families build alters to invite their deceased family members to come back and celebrate their life with them. The food looked fantastic and their were many neat booths with skull crafts and art. We had a good time but it start to rain which is not common here so we didn't stay too long.
Halloween
I am finally posting about Halloween! Geno was gone the week of Halloween and came back on Halloween so we had to drive to San Diego to get him at the airport. We made it back at 6:02 just in time to go trick or treating around our neighborhood. The kids had so much fun but Sophia pooped out after about 1 street.

California Wildfires
Well, we moved from Kansas and no longer have to worry about Tornado's but now we have to worry about earthquakes and wildfires. Just a couple of hours ago we looked out the window and saw the smoke coming from a fire here on Camp Pendleton. Currently it is on the back side of the base but moving our direction. We are currently experiencing a red flag warning and Santa Anna winds. I'm not too worried though, I have faith that the wonderful and brave firefighters out there are going to get this thing under control. The last picture is of the "dipper" planes that pick up water from the ocean and drop it on the fire. They are flying right over our house.
